Sanity School® for Parents | Coaching for ADHD, Anxiety & Complex Kids
Sanity School® for Parents

Built for complex kids — and the (complex) adults who love them.

When you’re supported, everything shifts.

Enrollment for the next Sanity School® cohort is open now.
Enrollment closes August 19, 2026
If you're reading this, you're already doing more than most.

You've tried the charts. The consequences. The therapy appointments. You've read the books — maybe even a few of ours. You've had the conversations with your partner, your child's teachers, the pediatrician. You are not a parent who gives up.

And you're here because some of what you're doing is working — and some of it isn't. And you're ready for more of it to work.

We need you to know something important: you are in exactly the right place. And this is going to be easier than you think.

 When you're supported, everything shifts.

Most programs focus on your child. Sanity School® focuses on you — not because you need to be fixed, but because you are the most direct path to changing what happens in your home.

This isn't self-indulgence. It's the highest-leverage investment you can make in your child's future.

This isn't about learning more. You probably already know more than you think. This is about having the tools and guidance to use what you know — in the real moments of your real days, when everything you know about executive function and co-regulation isn't helping you manage the 5 pm homework or 8pm screen-time meltdowns.

"Before coaching, I built my entire identity around being a Super Mom. I poured everything into my kids and nothing into myself — and for a long time, I believed that was what good parenting looked like. It left me short-tempered, depleted, and quietly resentful. The turning point came when I finally understood that I couldn't pour from an empty cup — and that the most powerful thing I could do for my family was to invest in myself first. I didn't become a worse mom when I did that. I became the mom my kids actually needed."
— Diane Dempster, PCC, Co-founder

This program resources your whole family — through you.

Who are we —
and why did we create Sanity School®?

Elaine Taylor-Klaus and Diane Dempster, co-founders of ImpactParents and creators of Sanity School for Parents Elaine Taylor-Klaus and Diane Dempster, co-founders of ImpactParents and creators of Sanity School for Parents
We are Elaine and Diane, professional certified coaches and the founders of ImpactParents and ImpactADHD®.

We didn't come to this work from the outside. We came from the inside — as parents who were in the thick of it, long before we had the tools we're about to teach you.

"I was diagnosed with my own attention and learning issues around 40. Suddenly, my whole life made sense — the struggles I'd had, the patterns I'd never been able to explain, the ways I'd felt different without knowing why. I began to understand my husband's ADHD, as well. I built a career helping other families as I began to find success figuring out how to help my own. I am committed to making sure that no parent has to go through what I went through alone in those first ten years — and that no one else's child has to go through what my kids experienced before we began to understand what they really needed from us."
— Elaine Taylor-Klaus, MCC

Between our two families, we are parents of a combined 6 kids with complex challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia and other learning disabilities, autism, depression, and more. After decades of raising our kids with a (neuro-informed) coach approach, we have terrific relationships with our six fantastic (and successful) young adults — and we've kept our sense of humor in the process!

There's a lot of misinformation 'out there' about parenting complex children, teens and young adults, and since we first met each other, we've been committed to setting the record straight. Experience taught us that despite their challenges, complex kids have the capacity to become extraordinary adults — and it's our job as parents to help them get there.

Since 2011, we've been actively supporting families all over the globe, proud to be seen as the 'voice for parents' raising complex kids. We've been sought after for guidance, resources and expertise from a wide range of institutions, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Understood, Attention and ADDitude magazines, Mental Health Academy, GoZen, the Gottman Institute, the National Board of Directors of CHADD (on which Elaine served), and more.

We know firsthand that having a complex child, teen, or emerging adult can feel draining — on your time, your home life, and of course your wallet. We know you often feel judged, isolated, and overwhelmed. And it's time for that to stop.

The challenges are many, but you don't have to face them alone. We are committed to serving parents like us, parents like you — and the professionals who support all of us. In our community you'll receive understanding, non-judgmental support, essential insights and tools to help your child thrive ... and the peace of mind you deserve. You have our promise — give us a chance, and we'll take really good care to help you guide your whole family on the path to peace and success.

 What parents are saying

After just one week, parents reported:

 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

“My son of 15 is talking to me again and he is even trying to be nice to me! This is amazing! Thank you so much for your guidance and support!”
 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"The class has helped to validate the things that we are doing right based on the needs of our family. It has increased our confidence and created greater peace in our home. It has also given us more perspective on the areas where we differ in opinion and allowed us to better parent as a team. We are looking forward to learning more!"
 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"I have changed my perspective from desperation to inspiration by investing in our relationships and recognizing the internal judgments each of my girls are making of themselves."

 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"We've been calmer and more intentional parents in the last week."
 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Improved communication, more confidence in saying the right thing, less overwhelm.”
 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

“I feel calmer and better connected.

 After two months, parents reported:

 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

“I have to say a heartfelt thank you to Elaine and Diane again. I am learning new ways to work with my teen son who has ADHD, LD in math, and Anxiety. Gone is the screaming, blaming, nagging, and stress. Phewww what a good feeling. It is the second time he has come to me recently with a problem — which he didn't do before, since he said I always over-reacted (which I did).”
 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"Sanity School has been such a relief for me. I've read many books and taken courses, but this is different. It's such a positive and realistic approach and gives so many useful tools. The whole program is well-designed, and you can feel that Elaine and Diane know their stuff from experience. Also, the office hours are so useful and encouraging. For all parents of complex kids, this is a lifesaver!"
 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"Sanity School… was just what I needed and made a big difference for my family. The webinar approach is easy, the recorded videos are convenient for catch up/make ups, and the format is clear and easy to follow. Sharing with other families experiencing the same daily frustrations gave me both comfort and confidence that I'm not alone or defeated. My house is calmer and the insane times are not so explosive!

But — I just don't have the time.

How much time does Sanity School take each week?

Sanity School® is structured to fit seamlessly into your busy life. We recommend you plan to explore one class a week. Maybe you'll choose a time that suits you best, or listen across the week like a favorite podcast, or binge-watch through the first time and then watch again.

You can't do this wrong. Whatever works for your busy life is best.

All lessons are recorded so you can go at your own pace, and listen again and again. And if you're having trouble getting started, our Care Team will help you find the way to use it that's a fit for your busy life.

The sessions are webinar-or-podcast style, and each hour-long lesson is broken down into 5–15 minute videos for easy use. Tune in whenever it makes sense in your life. Watch in your pajamas over a well-deserved tea and cookie break, or listen while you take a walk. There's no one right way to take Sanity School.

Sanity School® is jam-packed with information and life-changing tips and tools, as well as exercises and self-guided questions. And it's fun, too! We have no desire to put you to sleep, even if you are in your PJs.

You will actually look forward to these classes, where you'll feel — finally — the truth of it all: that you are not alone. And you'll love the rapid improvement you'll see in yourself and your family.

"Finding Elaine and Diane has changed my family's life. Since finishing the Sanity School® sessions, my 13 year old daughter has not had any missing homework and her grades have gone up. I thought I was going through this course to help her, but really I am the one it helped the most. I had lots of information before, but Sanity School® helped me fit it together to make it work. I think more about what I say and do when interacting with her. Our home is much more calm, and we are much closer now than ever before. Her teacher has even commented on how much she has grown over the last two months, and thanked me for what I have been doing with her at home!"
~ Kerilyn M., WI

But — I'm concerned about the cost.

Is Sanity School worth the cost?

"I had tried a lot of things: seminars, books, training, therapists. I had nothing to lose, so I went for Sanity School®. And it has the highest return on investment of anything that I've done with my kids over the last 13 years."
— W.R.

Sanity School® is $67/month, or $597/year. Consider what you've (probably) already spent on therapists, assessments, tutors, specialists, and programs that didn't deliver what they promised. For less than the cost of a single therapy session a month, you get the full 6-lesson coach-approach training, live cohort-only community calls with Elaine or Diane -- to work through the program together, step by step, live laser-coaching twice a month during Office Hours with an ImpactParents coach, support from our Care Team, the full resource library, and a community of parents who understand your life from the inside.

And if it's not right for your family within the first 30 days, reply to any email from us for a full refund. No questions asked. The risk is entirely on us.

If cost is still a barrier, please ask us about our scholarship fund. Since 2011, we have never let lack of funds stand between a parent and the tools they need. Email us at TheTeam@ImpactParents.com.

A note for parents who recognise themselves in their kids.

A lot of parents who find us have recently realised — or are starting to suspect — that they might be wired a lot like their kids. Maybe you've just been diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Maybe you've always known something was different but never had the language for it. Maybe you're just now connecting the dots between your own patterns and your child's.

If that's you: good. You are in exactly the right place.

Sanity School® was designed by both neurotypical and neurodivergent parents, with neurodiverse parents in mind. The coach-approach tools work for your brain. The course itself is neuro-informed and delivered multi-modally to support your brain wiring. The community understands your experience from the inside. And the Care Team is here to help you use the program in a way that actually fits how you think and learn.

How is this different from ImpactParents' other coaching

Sanity School® is our signature program. It's a foundational introduction to our neuro-informed coach-approach framework, with support to apply it right away. Consider it a crash course for a parent with newly diagnosed kids and an enhancement course for parents who are seasoned veterans. Any parent with a complex child finds clarity and peace when they start to use a coach approach in parenting. This program hits on the most important things a parent of any complex kid needs to understand in order to support their kids in empowering ways.

My child has not been diagnosed with anything. Will it still help me?

Absolutely! We welcome parents of what we like to call “complex” kids – children who struggle with any aspect of life, learning, behavior, social skills, or emotional management. An underlying diagnosis for your child's challenges may be suspected, but it might not be, either. This program is really designed to provide a framework for whatever a family is struggling with, regardless of diagnosis. It's focused on understanding the challenges facing children, teens and young adults and how to approach them with a method that is effective and empowering. And it can be used by parents of all kids, with or without challenges, at any age. Of course, if ADHD, anxiety, autism, LDs, depression, or other challenges of executive function are suspected or diagnosed, it definitely works for you. Bottom line: if you have a “complex” kid -- you probably know what we mean – and this is definitely for you.

What age kids is this helpful for?

Since the coach-approach offers strategies for improving communication and fostering self-reliance (and so much more!), everything we do is designed for all parents of complex kids -- at any age or stage. So whether you have younger children (ages 4-12), teenagers (ages 13-18), or young adults (ages 19 - 40) (yes, we said 40 :-), you will learn a clear framework and practice using tools to improve your communication, shift from directing to collaborating, and foster increasing independence for kids of any age. The earlier you start, the easier the changes. And truly, it's never too late to improve the dynamic and your relationship (we promise!). So if you're parenting younger kids ... start now! And if you're parenting older kids, we assure you, it's not too late.

How much does it cost?

Sanity School® is $67/month or $597/year. To put that in context: it's less than the cost of a single family therapy session a month, and it includes the full 6-lesson coach-approach training — the core of the program — plus live cohort-only community calls with Elaine or Diane to work through the program together, step by step, live coaching twice a month during Office Hours with an ImpactParents coach, support from our Care Team, a full resource library, and a community of parents who understand your life from the inside. Parents consistently tell us it's the highest-return investment they've made in their family.

The September cohort begins the week of August 31, 2026. Enrollment closes August 19, 2026.

If cost is still a barrier, please ask us about our scholarship fund. Since 2011, we have never let lack of funds stand between a parent and the tools they need. Email us at TheTeam@ImpactParents.com.

How long is each lesson?

90 minutes total: roughly 60 minutes each, plus 30 minutes of Q&A.

Who are Elaine and Diane?

Co-founders of ImpactParents.com. Co-creators of Sanity School®. Parenting with Impact podcast hosts. Authors of Parenting ADHD Now! Easy Intervention Strategies to Empower Kids with ADHD and The Essential Guide to Raising Complex Kids with ADHD, Anxiety and More. 2025 Hall of Fame Award recipients from CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD).

Elaine Taylor-Klaus, MCC and Diane Dempster, PCC are master and professional certified coaches, respectively. They're the mothers of 6 kids between them with ADHD, anxiety, learning challenges, autism, and related challenges. Unfortunately, when their kids were younger, the kind of support that would have helped them was not available. Once they discovered the benefits of coaching to their parenting, it inspired them to co-found ImpactADHD®, and ultimately expand into ImpactParents. They strongly believe that no parent should go through what they went through alone — not when they know they can do something to help.

If I don't find this useful, is there a guarantee?

Yes! Try Sanity School® for 30 days. If it's not right for your family, reply to any email from us for a full refund. No questions asked.

Is this program right for me if I think I might have ADHD, anxiety, or autism, too?

Absolutely — in fact, you may find it especially valuable. A significant portion of the parents in our community are themselves neurodiverse, and many are in the process of recognising or exploring that for the first time. Sanity School® was created by a neurodivergent parent who understands the experience from the inside. The tools you'll learn work for your brain as much as for your child's. And our Care Team can help you use the program in a way that fits how you think and learn.

Why does this program focus on me rather than my child?

Because you are the most direct path to changing what happens in your home. Medical research — reinforced by decades of experience — shows that children with complex challenges make the most progress when the adults around them change how they respond. Most parents think they need solutions for their child. But Sanity School® focuses on you — giving you the support and guidance to apply what you already know, in the real moments of your real days. When you have the right resources, your child responds differently. Not immediately. But faster than you might expect.

What if I can't start the week of August 31st, or I'm not sure I'll be ready by then?

If you can't be available to start sometime during the week of August 31st, it's okay to wait and join the next cohort instead — Sanity School® works better when everyone starts and moves through the six modules together, so joining mid-stream isn't ideal.

You don't need to have anything figured out before August 31st — you just need to be ready to begin that week or so. If life is genuinely too full right now, it's okay to wait for the next cohort rather than join and not be able to show up for it. We'd rather have you start when you can actually be present.

What happens if I miss enrollment for this cohort?

Enrollment closes on August 19, 2026, and the cohort begins the week of August 31st. If you miss this window, you won't be able to join this round — but you can join the October cohort, and we'll let you know as soon as the next enrollment window opens.
